When i have to define twitter to people, i say that it is like sending a public text message. In 140 chars you send that message (through your selected device) to a public service that anyone can search; there are people who "follow" your feed like your friends on facebook do, but that the relationship is often less strong and more unilateral. And yeah, no controversy, it must have been a bad day! I have something though: it bothers me when people call it the "Miracle" on the Hudson. How about the "Very Skilled Pilot" on the Hudson?
